THE BOY NEXT DOOR (USA 2008)

Mark, a 25-year-old male prostitute who suffers from anxiety attacks accidentally runs into the 10-year-old son of one of his clients. When the boy tells him he is looking for his father Mark, taken by surprise, wants nothing to do with him. But while they wait for the client to return Mark realizes that maybe this unexpected guest was exactly what he needed. Over the course of the night this strange new friendship grows and gives both Mark and Justin the courage to overcome their fears and face their own personal demons.

FEATURE FILM PROJECT

STATUS QUO

The Boy Next Door began as an in-class project I produced while studying at Bowling Green State University in 2008. In 2009 the short film began traveling the festival circuit and gained a huge online following. The film currently has over 140.000 views on my YouTube channel alone. Because to this huge response and the universally applicable themes of the movie, we decided to adapt it into a feature film project - bringing 'The Boy Next Door' to the big screen.

When you produce a feature film you need a lot of money. In order to get the money we need for this film project we need investors and producers. Now there are a lot of investors and a lot of producers out there. Our challenge here is to let them know that there are people who want to see The Boy Next Door on the silver screen.

So if you like the story and want to know more about the characters, their backgrounds and their lives, let us and our future investors and producers know that! For your support we would invite you to follow the project through all of the production stages and participate along the way.
